Advice on EastPointe or community in Jupiter for Snowbirds (Palm Beach Gardens: real estate, HOA fees)

We are considering a snowbird "move" to be closer to our family in Jupiter FL during the winters. We would like a house (not townhouse or condo) 2-3BR ranch, preferably gated. I have seen some listings in Eastpointe in PBG. I understand they have a mandatory membership around $4000 per year. The houses seemed priced reasonably, while not being too far away from Jupiter which seems more on the expensive side.

Is there a community IN Jupiter where we should look for a 2-3BR house (ranch for us seniors) in the $200-250k range? HOA and gated preferred, but not mandatory.

There are tons of options out there... neighborhoods such as the Hamptons/Maplewood, or Greenbeier will have options in your price range.

Also, you may like PGA National, in Palm Beach Gardens. There are multiple neighborhoods in that development, and it's easily accessible to Jupiter. The neighborhoods of Barclay Club, Villas D'Este, Ironwood and Bristol Club are located within the development, and are good places to start.

You have a lot to choose from. The only snag will be that you want a ranch home. Do you prefer to be more north or south, i.e. closer to Palm Beach for activities or farther away for more quiet and security?

The community of eastpointe is well maintained, great location and very affordable. There are 2 golf/country clubs on the premises. The mandatory membership is for a "social-not golf" membership in either one-not both. The population of the community is primarily senior citizens with a few younger people moving in due to the affordability.
Carefully check which if either of the "clubs" suit you before buying here. I do not belong to either as i have lived here long enough to have been exempt from the mandatory $4000+ fee.
It is a very nice place in a great location and inexpensive, but check the whole area as there are many options,, check also pga national, abacoa, and others..get a real estate agent to work for you that knows the area and has references in the area...check the references---protect yourself by getting all i mean "all" the facts before you commit yourself to a buy.

yes, the $4000 membership fee is in addition to the HOA fees of about $1000/quarter
