Need Help Finding a Good CARPENDER in DTWPB (Jupiter: hardwood floors, insurance)

Hello,

Looking for a good Carpenter to do some work in a condo in dtwpb. Need a couple of walls taken down and some hardwood floors put in. (If they don't do floors, that's fine I can find a floor guy)

If anyone has any recommendations, please let me know.

Must Have:
- Reasonable
- Completes job in reasonable amount of time
- Licensed and Insured
- Quality Work
- Available to start soon

Try Angie's List. I have not had the best experience looking on my own!

Also, try Bidabuilder.com, where you can post a project and contractors will respond. All participating contractors have to be licensed, etc.

I recently used the site spendlo.com my son told me about. It's a local delray company which is a huge draw to me because I love supporting local start-up companies which benefit the community

I used them to help me find a pool coping repair guy, my pool coping was 25 yrs old!!- who was great! They only work w licensed and insured local companies which was a plus to me. It was super convenient because the whole process was orchestrated through their website and email.

If you have steel framed walls a carpenter probably won't be your best choice. Look for a good drywall contractor, or a Insurance Damage Contractor as they are use to take downs and repairs.

To bad I'm retired. I was the last of the 'good guys'. Now I don't know.
You might want to call "Plan-It" on Donald Ross Road, Jupiter. He does design and remodels. And I know one of the partners. But I have never used them personally.
