Good or GREAT Catholic schools in PBG / Jupiter (Palm Beach: school districts, live in)

There aren't any! My mom retired from the Diocese of Palm Beach and she said that all of the Catholic schools are getting smaller year after year, there are too many better options/some of which are free (public schools).

All Saints in Jupiter is relatively new and St Clare's in North Palm has been there for decades and they are your only two options and really are only comprised of students who live in terrible school districts. If they rezoned those students to A rated schools the schools would close!

I also agree on the local publics. BTDT and so far, happy. I've finally convinced my SIL to move into the area, but will not send dcs to public. ONly Catholic for her. Only. Thanks!

I am moving to Jupiter this fall - we had a lot of back and forth about whether to go with public (free and great in our zoning..) or Private. We decided on AllSaints after touring a few - my big concern with public school was the size of the class room. I just can't sew how 30-35 kids can learn in one classroom - especially in the elementary years....I was also concerned (a lot) about bullying. With that many kids how can they keep a handle on that?

AllSaints had a great vibe about it. I grew up Catholic so that was just a bonus. Small classes and the teachers seemed really motivated and happy....and this was in March!

If you're willing to make the trek, Rosarian is a great Catholic school...super small class sizes too.

How did the class size amendment affect class sizes for public schools? Is it being ignored or did it change?

I find the class size thing weird. I was educated in CT and class sizes were always 30-38 kids. That was the norm. Possibly discipline, expectations and parental involvement were higher back then though.

There were little after school activities that we were supposed to be in like kids these days seem to need to be in. You went to class, you went home, you played until dinner, you did your homework and MAYBE watched an hour of TV, then you went to bed.

lol, Yes. But u know it's seems so simple and kinda like duuuuh.

I'm in my twenties, however my parents put me through 12 years of catholic education. I live in Florida now, however attended Catholic schools in the Philadelphia suburbs. I remember my high school was fairly large and i always had upwards of 30 to 35 kids in all my classes and this was only 7 or 8 years ago, so high schools kids today cant be all that different. Anyway, i never felt having that many kids in a class was a problem. I learned fine and most other kids all faired well too.

What is BTDT? I think SIL might be sister-in-law, not sure though. What is dcs?
