These are new high-rise condo's. Old houses and shopping centers were there but then were destroyed to make room for these. Overall it can be a nice area to live, it is close to the beach. There are dangerous areas very close by to the west, but to the east is the beach and million dollar homes.

There is a Wal Greens across the street and many cultural markets nearby, such as the Carribean Market.

Default How is Heron Point in Boynton Beach

I have a couple job interviews for teaching positinos West Palm Beach, but I am looking more towards Boynton Beach for an apartment. Has anyone ever heard anything about Heron Point Apartments in Boynton Beach? The prices are pretty reasonable and they have deals for Palm Beach county school district employees. From the pictures on rent.com they don't look to bad, but you can't really tell much from pictures and you deffinitely can't get a feel for the area. Is it safe there?
Also, does anyone have any other suggesstions as to where I should look for an apartment if I am working in West Palm Beach?

Heron Point is in West Boynton, and it's in a nice, safe area. If you're working in West Palm Beach, you might want to consider an apartment in Royal Palm Beach or maybe even Wellington. Many people work in West Palm Beach but don't like the city itself so they commute there from out west or in other parts of the county.

Thanks for the advice. I looked into those areas and they were a bit too expensive for a first year teacher's salary! I will definitely keep them in mind to look at when I get in town though.
Thanks again!
