We are a family with 2 small kids (2 and 4 years old) moving into the boca Raton /Delray area.
Any recommendations on areas or neighborhoods to live in? Or positive/negative experiences? Would love to hear any advise from other families that live there!
Thanks in advance!

Do you have a certain type of community, size home, price range etc you are looking for? It can vary considerably in this area.

Are you moving to that area for a particular reason, i.e. business in area, work in a town nearby? Are you looking for a particular house of worship, neighborhood vibe, traffic or lack of it, green areas? If you can explain why this area or what you are looking for, you will be able to get more specific and accurate advice.

We just want to live in South Florida in a family friendly city. We already live in Florida but in a retirwment town. We like Boca for its location and want to know more about if from people who live there or know the city. We want to live close to bars, shops, not too far feom the beach. We want a family and dog friendly area. As we can chose where to live, I am so interested to hear about other places that could suit us....

My point in asking about location specifically is, unless the two of you work from home, where you choose to move can have such an impact on your life. For example, if you move into an area that has impossible traffic and the two of you have to get to work by fighting that traffic and have to leave early and come home late, what is that going to do to the system you already have in place by living where you do now and being able to travel to work at times when relatively no one else is on the roads because they're retired and don't have to be in their cars at 5 or 5:30 in the morning?

Unless you home school, have you thought of looking at the schools in the particular area that interests you? Are you close enough to drive by and visit some of these schools or the areas around them?

These are great points. My husband works from home and I am a staying at home mom of 2 toddlers. I read that there are great elementary schools, so of course we need to be near a good school. We were in Boca yesterday and thought that West Boca was a bit far from the beach.... but it seems like that is where families live!? Or are there great family neighborhoods more central?
