HI Everyone,

I am traveling throughout Florida with my partner. We have been somewhat unimpressed with the quality in South Beach--(meaning in 2003-2004 when we lived there, it was much better).

Therefore, we are wanting to look elsewhere and we're considering Jupiter. How is the nightlife? Are their upscale lounges, wine bars and nightclubs? Is this city more laid back? Thanks for any information you can provide!

Nightlife exists, but is limited. But, there's plenty in the county, such as in West Palm Beach, Palm Beach... even Gardens.

Delray has nightlife. That would be where you want to go. My sister lives in Jupiter and I have to drive to Delray for anything remotely stimulating to do. Nightlife and Jupiter don't belong in the same sentence. But, I live in NY so maybe hanging out a Duffy's is nightlife in Jupiter.

Jupiter has two places:

Harbourside Place - ONE PLACE. SO MANY REASONS.

This music video was shot in Jupiter at the square grouper:

I'm not clear on your question. You found South Beach nightlife under-whelming and you are looking for better nightlife in Jupiter? Or are you saying South Beach nightlife is too low-brow for you? In that case, what about Palm Beach?

The hot nightlife areas these days north of South Beach are Las Olas, Seminole Hard Rock, downtown Delray Beach, and downtown West Palm. To a lesser extend, downtown Boca Raton (Mizner Park) and downtown Hollywood.

There are small enclaves of nightlife in most South FL cities, but they usually consist of a few local spots. Close to Jupiter, you have PGA Blvd in Palm Beach Gardens. There is a little strip just west of 95 with some upscale bars and restaurants near Raco's Taco's. There is also Abacoa Town Center, but I haven't been there in years and am not sure what's still there. There used to be some bars there. Jupiter proper has some local bars and restaurants, but not sure I'd consider it "nightlife".

There certainly are some decent restaurants and bars in Jupiter, but if you're looking for "action" I'd skip Jupiter.
It's more geared towards families.

There are some nice little areas in East Lake Worth (Lake Ave with restaurants, theater, pubs). You won't have Salsa Clubs or night clubs but it's a nice location to walk around, get a drink or a good meal, meet new people.
