My sister (64) just retired and would like to explore living in West Palm Beach or Palm Beach Gardens and possibly relocating to Palm Beach County if she likes the area. Does anyone know of any furnished apartments that do 3 - 6 month rentals? Nothing too upscale and expensive, but nothing too downscale and dangerous either. It can be an over-55 complex but does not have to be.

Depending upon when you are looking to come...there are many short term furnished rentals in Wellington, FL. In the Spring and Summer time the prices are very reasonable. However, come the Equestrian season ( January - April) the prices triple...Check out my website below for rentals...

Thank you. I know rentals during the season can be ruinously expensive, so it's a challenge. We will take a look at what is available.

What’s considered expensive in this situation?

It's for one person and she does not need a full house - even a smallish condo would do - so she would like to keep it around $2,000 per month. But I know that is tough to find for a 3-month furnished rental during the winter.

Not tough to find.....just tough to find for only 2k

Look on https://www.airbnb.com/

She can get a waterfront condo in North Palm Beach for $35 a night. It also gives flexibility if she wants to try new areas, one month North Palm, One month Boca, One month elsewhere

Usually the least expensive furnished rental I see is around $3000 per month in Wellington FL.

If you need it for the summer I might be able to help you out at a good price well under your budget. In season, don't think it is possible for what you are asking.

Agree. We can check what's available when she knows the time that she wants. Thanks!

Hi gardenpearl,

I was looking for a friend of mine and I agree with City Guy 997S . Check out the airbnb, they had places in PBGardens, North Palm Beach etc for a lot less. Probably the best deal for you! Lindsay
