I took the word of the hostess, who was ver helpful, and who said you WILL get ticketed and WILL get towed. She pointed to lots where it is safe to park. Who would YOU believe?
Tourists bring their pocket book with them, pays to be nice to them.
West Palm isn't Mayberry.

WPB PD arrested a serial killer 4 months back about 5 miles from the diner. Sure Andy and Barney were real friendly but didn't have to catch serial killers.

Unfortunately, cop culture varies for various reasons. There are bigger things to focus your energy on right now.

IDK.... seems completely inconsequential and like unimportant--- you wanting to know if u can park on some rando street and expecting a cop to come educate you on parking laws .... at your whim.

Like, figure it out yourself. Cops are there to protect you from you know.... real crime and criminals and the like... not from your ignorance of the parking laws of the area.

They also ticket you so they should know where parking is not allowed. WPB must be so crime ridden they cannot take a minute to respond to a simple question. These responses are truly bizarre.

Stop by Jamaica Plain and ask a local cop a dumb question, see if West Palm was more polite

This was in the rep section. I dont know why you wouldn't just post it here.
First, in what universe is asking if it is legal to park a dumb question? And yes, I would have received a polite response to my polite question. That is what I expect everywhere, but may be people in WPB are used to less. why are you all so afraid of the police?

Ok, so is WPB comparable to Jamaica Plain in every respect? We are looking at it as a possible place to rent for next winter. It seemed very pleasant and lovely. It is not?

Where I live in San Diego, CA the cops are more helpful.
