The original link was "Sisters were targeted" when I was posting it (yes, I had some doubt when I saw the news. I was thinking why the sisters were targeted ? But that's what WAS on Palm Beach Post's website)

Now I went back by clicking the same link I posted (the link still has words Sisters were targeted, those are NOT my words), the heading was changed to House Was Targeted.

I guess Palm Beach Post must have updated the info as soon as they had.

haha, typical journalism.

Well, at least it wasn't a random home invasion.

Obviously The Palm Beach Post did NOT catch what the police chief said at 2pm (news conference). The reporter or writer only heard the first half of what the police chief said WITHOUT hearing the full sentence !!!!!!!!!

To The Palm Beach Post: Please listen to the police chief carefully before putting it on the website !!!!! Thank you !

This was what happened:
- I learned from TriM the news conference was at 2pm.
- I checked The Palm Beach Post shortly after 2pm, no update yet.
- Later, there was update "Sisters were targeted"
- Note: There was NO video at that time. The video (police chief clearly said it otherwise).
- Now around 8pm, I checked it again, the title was changed to HOUSE WAS TARGETED.
- Video of the 2pm conference was also added.
- Obviously, the police chief said "... that house was targeted"

Hmm... Can't trust this Palm Beach Post any more !

Cool Relocating as a snowbird from NY to Florida. Is Deerfield Beach safe?

Wow...this is a long thread. Tried to catch up reading them all but didn't come across anyone mentioning the Deerfield Beach area as being safe or not. Am thinking about moving there, probably in a gated community like Century Village or a condo on the beach there. Keeping my home in Westchester, NY so I will be a snowbird to escape the winter months in the north. Thanks for any info.

Yes, as suspected, not a random act of violence. A hard lesson learned for a young person who chose the gang life... now members of his family have paid the price for his stupidity and choice to lead that life. Very tragic.

Uncontrolled freedom and pride cost !

If you look at the picture from the link, the suspect has 5 tattoos on his face, one of them being a gun on his forehead. What kind of life is that ? Did he expect he could find work not even finish grade 10 with 5 or 6 tattoos on his face ?

Teenagers who didn't have disciplines, didn't listen to their parents, saying "it's my life, I can do whatever I want ..." Things like that.

I wonder what his upbringing has been like !?

I recall his family (the murdered sisters) said something like "they were afraid something bad will happen" (don't quote me on that, please dig out the old news for the exact report). The 22 year old was murdered by him one day prior to his own mother and aunt were murdered.

I suspect his family knew about the murder of the 22 year old Riviera Beach man.

What a tragedy !

I don't know why it's so difficult for some people NOT to live a gang life !?

- Teenaged years is the most crucial years and parents must guide their teenaged children, especially the boys.
- If university is not for them, at least finish high school.
- Do not put any tattoo on the face, arghh !
- Get a job, be it minimum pay !
- No drugs, no guns, no gang life.
- Call the police on their own children if something terribly goes wrong. I think his father did the right thing by calling the police on his own son (as reported).
