Has anyone noticed how creepy the AT&T building on Gardenia Street is? There's a sign that says that it's not even an AT&T building. Does anyone know when it was built or what it is?

Check it out on Google Maps:

I think it used to be/is the BellSouth building. I agree, ugly as sin. There are several BellSouth building outposts throughout South Florida that are just as ugly. I remember passing the one story Bell South building in Port St. Lucie as a kid. No windows. Just concrete. These days I think they have a trellis in front of it, trying to spruce it up, lol.

LOL that's because it's a public utility and in the 50's the buildings were designated as bomb shelter locations as well as having to maintain services during a crisis. Even employees have to work during these events and are given drills of where to go inside of the building in case of an emergency.

Especially after 911.
