I just wanted to share that I've lived in Tampa for six years, kind of over it but I like Florida. I had the pleasure of staying with a friend in Jensen Beach for a week and I loved it; but I loved Jupiter even more.

My lease here in Tampa isn't up until next year, but I'm seriously looking to moving to Jupiter. If anyone cares to share advice on what areas to look in for an apartment (I'm a 34 y.o. gay male. I love the beach and like being able to walk to stores, restaurants, etc.).

Happy to say I've found a place in Florida that has a blend of things I like. I'm fatigued with Tampa and really liked what I experienced in Jupiter, Stuart (I loved Stuart) and Jensen Beach!

Plus, have you any idea how hard it is to surf in the gulf

I used to live in Jupiter! I love it too. Bella Vista is a nice condo complex it is VERY close to the beach,,,a 5 minute walk! The Bluffs area is ok too...close to the beach,,,but a little busier. Bella vista is nice and quiet.

That's why I like it...because it is like it's own little world. You technically never have to step out of it. Everything you need is right there. Peaceful and quiet...I guess I am on that kind of time now.

Jupiter is probably the nicest town to live in Florida. Small town feel with all the conveniences...awesome dog-friendly beach, safe, all the shopping you need within minutes (The Gardens Mall is 10 minutes away and is top notch), great public schools (try finding that in Florida), lots of good restaurants, awesome minor league (and Spring Training too) stadium...always something to do. I looked everywhere in FL before I moved here. It's awesome.

Agreed. I'm right off of Donald Ross, technically in Palm Beach Gardens, but right on the border. I freaking LOVE Jupiter.

That's exactly why it's good. The rest of Palm Beach County is getting like West Palm Beach, except of course for the high buck barrier islands.

Nice and peaceful are good compared to drive by's and crack houses.

Sigh, do you EVER give up? You pretend you're a native, but you haven't lived here in ages and I don't think you have a very good idea of what West Palm Beach is actually like except for the ghetto part North of downtown.

Crime in West Palm Beach is STILL lower than it was back in the 90s and 80s, yet people like you come out of the woodwork and pretend like it's all "going down hill" (compared to WHAT?) Neighborhoods that WERE crack houses once upon a time (Grandview Heights) are now full of families, young professionals, and students. Stories have been writtn up in the New York Times about how New York socialites have bought up homes in the Southside of town (SoSo, El Cid, Flamingo Park, Southland Park, etc. <--- do you even know where those places are, or do you always find yourself in the middle of Tamarind and Palm Beach Lakes Blvd scratching your head and fearing for your life?)

Honestly man, you have NO idea what you're talking about!
