Not recommended, IMO. Rowdy renters, tons of foreclosures. There are better options out there.

Not walkable to donwtown. About 3 miles from downtown, though you'd have to bike through some areas I wouldn't want to bike through at night.

Expand your search to the "Montecito" building. It's a highrise just outside and West of Cityplace, facing Clear Lake. Get a unit facing the lake. You'll be able to walk downtown, to the water, etc. They are expanding the sidewalk as well, to allow for easier traverse into downtown. It's where you can find some of the best deals downtown (apart from Flagler Pointe).

This is a good example of Montecito:

2/2, cable and water INCLUDED AND two parking spots.

That looks nice and this is a good/safe area and close to things?I have never lived in a highrise. Do they tend to be less or more noisy then a regular apartment or condo? Thank you

Do you think the sidewalk they are extending along Australian to Okeechobee, around that new art installation next to the Marriott will make the Edge and Montecito more accessible to Cityplace?

Eh, not really, it's kind of going out of the way to get to most of Cityplace. Maybe the Montecito.
