We were set to move to Asheville NC, from Vermont but due to a
very unfortunate set of family circumstances the next year will be
in Florida. My Wife got what appears to be a very nice little house
in Juno Beach. Being a hill and mountain person, I dont know
anything about Florida other than getting used to it is going to
be very hard. Any suggestions, caveats or stuff to look out
for in Juno ?
Thank you in advance

Juno is, in my opinion, the most beautiful beach in Palm Beach County. I haven't been there in quite a while so I'm not sure how much it's built up but it was always lovely.

But Palm Beach County is the home of the haves and the have nots---seems as if the in between (middle class) doesn't count. I lived there for about 5 years and moved away when my son started school.

Juno is a small, quiet, sleeper beach town which is one of the reasons people like it. You have a great location, set back from the hub of WPB. We lived in Juno for 2 years before moving to Jupiter. My mom actually works in Juno at FPL. You wouldn't even know a Fortune 500 co. was located right there. FL altogether is very flat. You're not going to find any hills or mountains besides some tall beach dunes. People get nervous there when it rains because they're so used to the sunshine. There's lots of small little places to eat in Juno but you'll find most of the bigger stuff in Palm Beach Gardens and WPB. You're right next to the Gardens Mall and all the surrounding shopping. The Juno Pier is great if you like to fish and Loggerhead has a beautiful sea turtle rescue park. Parking at the beach can be annoying sometimes. Enjoy your year at the beach. I forgot to mention--June, July, August and September--it is really hot and humid. It does take getting used to. But October through April are absolutely beautiful. It's so nice to walk around at 9pm and it's still nice outside. Also, lots of mosquitos at night if you're sensitive to them.

I've started the process of moving to PB county somewhere. My Realtor said the winter "swell" is about 10% or less in PB county but 100% or more in Juno Beach. Because of the relative small size of Juno Beach (several thousand) the 100% may or may not be an issue. What seems nice about Juno beach is the fact that the inner coastal is very narrow, hence, an easy jog to the beach.

Good luck!

Default Places to stay in Juno beach

We are relocating from Maine to Juno Beach , Fl within a couple of months. I am looking for a temporary place we can rent on a monthly basis ideally near the FPL area. Any suggestions will be highly appreciated.

It can be a motel, rental apartment, townhouse. Thanks in advance.

Google a website called Vacation Rentals By Owner. You can search by city. There are some nice short term rentals in Juno and Jupiter.

The website has availability calenders and tells you what they allow as far as pets, along with all costs.

I don't know the name but there are rental apartment homes directly north of FPL. Some even have garages.
