My husband and I will be moving our family to Boca Raton. We have a few gated communities that we've researched and schools, but nothings like hearing all about a community from those that live there. We have 3 small boys under the age of 7. So far American Heritage seems to be a great school for them. Can anyone shed more light on the area?

Thanks,

it depends on what you are looking for..We live in Boca Raton moved here last year and love it..We wouldnt put our kids in private school because our schools here are excellent...WE lived in Boca Falls in west boca before moving here to Central Boca...We love this location and the schools...My son attends Spanish River and is so happy...if I can answer questions pls ask.. and we are extremely happy with my dd's school as well...

there are different parts of boca...West boca, Central Boca like the Mall area...and East Boca what do u want to know about them? Alot is going to depend on what you as a family are looking for and what your price range is...

Theres plenty of nightlife in the area and Delray/Ft. Laud aren't far away, but there's definitely more in Miami. You can get a pretty nice new townhome or a slightly older/remodeled single family home for up to 450k within a few minute drive to the beach.

Boca in general is usually a little higher priced compared to some of the surrounding areas. Mainly due to amount of higher end real estate, better schools, proximity to the ocean/convenience shopping/restaurants.
The majority of homes in the price range you are looking at in East Boca are going to be slightly older, but often remodeled to todays standards.
While there is still plenty of stuff to do compared to Miami there isn't as much going on. You're also comparing a smaller city of less than 100k people to a large city of a few 100k people.
