Is anyone familiar with Lake Worth, out west near 441 and Lake Worth Road? How is that area in general? Going further west takes you into Wellington yes?

How is the area for crime, congestion, groceries etc etc? Thank you

Great area, lots of real nice neighborhoods in that general area. Just South of there around Hypoluxo and Jog there are some really nice neighborhoods as well. Shopping is good since you are very close to the 441 strip and theres some other complexes in near by. Crime is lower in the area.

Wow, thank you for the info! And the positive info at that!

Lake Worth always seemed to have it's problems and I read about the gangs. It was also apparently on television recently ( how nice that these cretins are so prevelant )

And so I was concerned.

East Lake Worth has a few issues...
Search for Journeys End, Lake Charleston, Winston Trails and there's a few others that are good.

West Lake Worth is nice. I grew up in Palm Beach National, nice area, west of Jog, LW Road. Older area, but big lots and big homes. The only bother was the noise of the Turnpike.

Last time I was in Wellington it was very conjested, especially on SR441. Nice area though, many new homes mixed with older ones. Shopping is plentiful, the mall is nearby.

Lake Worth is congested because it's a main thoroughfare to Wellington and all the newer communities that have been built in the past 15 years.

There are plenty of nice communities in areas that are not as congested.

I used to live in Winston Trails (Hypoluxo & Jog) and really liked the area. I'd go back there or to the Lake Charleston, Smith Farm, Journey's End neighborhoods. South of Lantana, btw Jog and 441. Less congested and easy access to shopping.
