Hi,
We will be relocating this weekend to West Palm beach area, and I have read mixed reviews on the location. My DH office loc is at Riviera beach, I have a DD who has to start her kindergarten this school year.
First priority being kids education, had called up the charter/private/montessori schools but they are full and have waiting list. So the only option am left with is Public school.
I have narrowed down to AMLI at IBIS apartment, I want some opinions on the location/apartment. The closest public elementary school is Pierce Hammock ELementary school. any reviews on this school?

I did consider Wellington but that would be a long commute for my DH. I am also considering San Merano at Mirasol. With only few days left, am so confused. I need thoughts/opinions on this situation.

Appreciate your help on this.

Thanks.

I'd say location wise San Merano is a lot closer to restaurants, shopping, and the beach. Similar communities both just off of a large golf community.

There's some nice condos/townhomes for rent by owner in Palm Beach Gardens depending on your budget. You can search for those on realtor.com or feel free to DM what you are looking for and I could send you some that would work. Be a nice quick drive to Riv Beach.

Here's a couple school websites if you haven't already checked them out.

As far as schools, if you are a little bit north I hear that Lighthouse Elementary is excellent.

Try greatschools.org for good ratings on schools in the area. From what I've read, the Jupiter area has the better ones.

Pierce Hammock ELementary school is a good school with an A rating. The drive from Amli at Ibis to Riviera Beach would be approx. 20 minutes. The Ibis apartments are very nice. My niece would have signed a lease there if it had been closer to Boca Raton. The apartments are in a very quiet area with a newer Publix shopping center near the community entrance. Don't be stressed about moving to West Palm Beach area. It is much nicer than these forums lead you to believe. My niece moved from Virginia and loves the area. Good luck with your move.

I lived in San Merano when I first moved to Palm Beach Gardens. I loved it! Close to the turnpike, off of PGA Blvd. Very quiet area but close enough to meet my transportation needs. Your situation is somewhat similar to my own because I worked in an office in Riviera Beach during the time I lived in San Merano. I would usually take 95 south and exit at 45th st (a 10 minute drive from highway). Your husband will have no problems getting to Riviera from Ibis or San Merano.

This was the first week for my dd at shool and she did fine.. Kindergarten isnt anymore about playing with toys and nap time.. here at piere hammok its more of academics and the curriculum and standard set is high equivalent to a private school..

I know this post is from over a year ago but I'm hoping you still get this and are able to answer. My hubby and I are in the sme dilemma. Torn between San merano and amli. The thing I like most about Amli is getting a garage for extra storage but I love the neighborhood around San merano.....lots of good walking areas and so close to everything. So after you were at amli for a year or so now how was it? Also how was pierce Hammock, my little guy starts Kindergarten in the fall. Thank you so much!
