I like the Jupiter area because of its close vicinity to the coastline, low congestion, and PBIR. I'm starting to look for housing in that area. Any suggestions for SFH's that are close to the shore and under $350K. Its the wife, the dog , & myself. I need a 2 car garage with those fries.

Are you looking for HOA living, or non-HOA living? Do you need or want acreage? Gates? Everywhere in Jupiter is 10 minutes to the beach basically.

350 is a good budget, and will get you into many neighborhoods.

I am also strongly considering Jupiter. Wife and 2 young children...4 and 9. Would love a young community A+ schools, close to shopping, and ammenities. Willing to spend around the $400G mark.

Can anyone tell me if HO Insurance is considerably more in Jupiter due to its proximity to Ocean? I would be forever grateful if anybody knows any specific communities in Jupiter that would fit my criteriors.

I have lived throughout the county and find Jupiter to be the best city in PBC. Great schools, near plenty of shopping, close to the beach. You can find plenty of housing types under $350K, just depends on your preferences. I live in Abacoa and love it, but I can see how others might not like it.

My homeowners insurance is around $2,200 per year and I am east of Military, about 3 miles from the beach.

To both who are looking, Abacoa and Maplewood are both nice and extremely close to everything. Abacoa is newer. I'd buy there if we didn't mind HOAs.

Martinique, Tuscany, Canterbury, Mallory Creek (last two still building and have nice builder incentives) -- all at Abacoa are in your price range and great family communities with great schools - 3-4 miles from the beach. Also, a hidden treasure is Tequesta Country Club - in Tequesta (across the river from Jupiter) but still in Palm Beach County with Jupiter schools - and 3 miles from the ocean - older community but is now very popular with families - close to everything, great schools, affordable and no HOA fees.
