We are looking to buy somewhere between Delray Beach and Hollywood. I am disabled so me and my wife will have to rely on both our incomes to pay the bills. She is in retail right now... not making alot of money. We're simple folk and don't need alot of money and whatnot.

She's looking to land a job somewhere in the area making just $9/hour doing retail, healthcare, food service, basically whatever is available. Would like some info as to what's available. Is there any hope with the job market? I don't want to plunk down most of our bank account into a house and then have her unemployed for months while our savings drain away. I only need her to kick in like $600/month towards household expenses.

Can somebody help us with some info?

There are several malls and shopping centers that she can apply for a job -- Boca Town Center, Mizner Park, Galleria, Wellington Green, Cityplace.

Some of the major national chains allow you to apply online, such as Gap, Old Navy, Banana Republic, etc.

Thank you for your reply. I will have her scout the mall jobs when we get there unless she gets a transfer within the store she's with.

In your situation, I would recommend that you not buy anything. Rent.

Many stores have online web sites for employment that even allow you to fill out an application. The issue with food service and even retail in South FL too is that off season they cut hours due to the snow birds going back home.
