Hello.

I am restaurant entrepreneur from Chicago and am looking at Boca Raton area (possibly Royal Palm Place). I have been to South Beach/Key West/Coral Gables/Fort Lauderdale area numerous times but never made it to Boca other than to drive by one time. I hear good things like its similiar to Highland Park, IL, etc...(if anyone knows Illinois).

I will be visiting Boca to scope out the location during Feb/Mar. Looking to open up pan asian restaurant in Boca.

Can you guys chime in on some areas that might be good?
Any general info/comments regarding Boca and its restaurants would be greatly appreciated.
I heard there is a "restaurant row" in Boca. Where is this located?
What parts of the town are good upscale areas? young? hip? family?

Any comments would be sincerely appreciated. Thank you.

Also what are some of the best asian restaurants in this city? I think I read an article somewhere that Bluefin was rated #1 sushi restaurant in the country.

Any restaurants not to be missed while I am here visiting?

Smile See below

My SIL is from Glenview; we were from the North Shore as kids but came to FL in late elementary/middle school age. My daughter loves sushi so I'll ask her and my SIL what they think.

Boca does have some great restaurants.

I've checked around yelp, etc... and I can almost guarantee myself that my place will be the top sushi restaurant in CG....It seems like there is total lack of "upscaleness" in asian restaurants in BR? Almost all of them look like mom and pop stripmall "joints"? Thanks for your input!

Bluefin is a very nice restaurant...and Japango is upscale and its sushi and Japanese as well and pretty good and there is a brand new sushi buffet place coming as well...there are certainly no lack of sushi places here in South Florida as its very popular...

Yes what is CG?

guys, looks like i'll be visiting 3/9 - 3/16. Probably stay near miami(hialeah) for few days then drive to Tampa to look at some spaces there for couple days then drive back to miami and fly back to chicago. This should be "doable"?

Pan asian? Too bad, South Florida desperately needs a Chicago-style deep dish pizza joint.
