Hello,

I am a 31 years old single male professional relocating to West Palm Beach from The DC metro area. Is there any place that you would recommend to rent before I purchase?
Thanks,

Anywhere in City Place is very nice. Lots of shops, restaurants, close to night life etc.

City Place my dude, city place.

For walkable, semi-urban with nighlife opportunities, I'd second the above and recommend:

Cityplace/Downtown West Palm Beach

or

Downtown Delray Beach

Downtown Lake Worth may also be an option but its kind of a smaller beachy town vibe.

I also vote for cityplace/ west palm and downtown delray. That's where I'd be if I were you.

If your moving here for a job, then that may play a role in where you want to live. Commuting can be annoying and expensive, unless you truly enjoy driving. Coming from DC you will not find things that bad here in terms of traffic.

I recommend the condos & townhomes near City Place as well. Try to rent something soon because that area is picked out by seasonal tenants. The official season is Oct 1st - April 30th. The peak is February & March.
I also highly recommend the area around PGA Blvd in Palm Beach Gardens such as condos in Midtown & Legacy Place.
