I'm looking at getting rental townhome at the Harbour Oaks community. Its a good size home with two car garage and seems like a nice location near the Gardens Mall. I'll be traveling to Stuart for work. Do you think that will be a good commute distance and is there alot to do for a 30 something couple in that area or is it mostly older folks?

Yes that would be a good choice. Abacoa is another good area off of Donald Ross and would put you at a little closer drive to Stuart.
Harbour Oaks puts you close to downtown at the Gardens, Legacy Place, the mall, and 100 or so restaurants on PGA Blvd.

There are a few places in there currently, though the one with the garage is $1,975/month, that's steep for sharing walls with your neighbors. You can rent a house for the same price or less. That is if that place is even still available? The rental market is extremely tight and places go fast, many you see listed are already gone as well many are on the market For Sale or Rent, which means you will sign a lease but the house will still be on the market, so if it sells be prepared to move after your lease ends.

From there to Stuart is quite the drive, via 95 around 30 miles+ one way, depending on where in Stuart. Figuring gas is soon estimated to be nearly $5.00/gallon in a few months it can not only be a timely commute but an expensive one if your concerned with that.

There's two on the market for 1850, should be able to get one in the high 17's if your credit is good. neither are for sale.
It's a little smaller, but there's a brand new unit in Mallory Creek that would be nice if you want to be a little further North.
