This is not including the Private Schools either...

Come on Swimmom, look at places like Stonebridge, Boca West, Boca Woods, Boca Greens (all single family homes with some condos in Boca West) yet you couldn't fill one school bus with the amount of kids that live in those developments despite them totalling several thousand homes!

That is of course leaving out the beachfront condos, the over 55 condos like Century Village and everywhere else the retirees live.

Yes but City those are only a small percentage of sub divisions...Where we used to live in NJ the amount of 55 adult communities were just insane NEVER used to be old there...If you look at 80% of the other developments Polo club, broken sound, woodfield, millpond, timbercreek, new floresta, santa barbara, colonnade and the list goes on and on and there are hundreds of kids no joke that walk home or to the shopping centers or go on the buses....those communities you listed are older people absolutely but no matter where you go there are old people but again the schools give you a whole picture that Boca is not just for old people anymore...Retirement communities are all over...

Thanks so much for the responses. Some interesting ways to research

Could anybody tell me about the difference in between Woodfield and St. Andrews communities? They both seem like a good fit.

Although my husband is really pushing for Jupiter -mostly because of the golfing intensity up there. I'm just worried it is way too far north for me. My husband works for home, so either would work.

Woodfield is a bit younger than St Andrews and you will find more Kids in Woodfield.....My son's friend was here the other night he lives in St Andrews County Club and he said its a bit older people and older kids.....I know a lot of the middle school and Elem school that my daughter attended and is in right now they live in Woodfield....Im sure Jupiter would fit nicely too especially if he is a very avid golfer...

Temple Beth Am in Jupiter has the best Jewish pre-school program in the county in my opinion. After having researched and asking many parents from Jupiter, Palm Beach Gardens, Juno Beach and Boca.

I've been doing research on all of Florida looking for the 'right' place to relocate from a chilly state (Oregon). It won't happen for another year or so which gives me plenty of time for research.

The areas you are discussing here sound intriguing. I have to ask two silly questions, though: How buggy is this part of Florida and is it less of a 'rain forest' type climate than, say, Savannah or coastal South Carolina? I have to decide whether dealing with cockroaches the size of Rhode Island is better than looking at gray skies from October through to, well, now.

We do not have Palmetto Bugs on this side of Florida...West Coast has them....Ive seen 1 big one since moving here in the 3 years...but that was a Water Bug which is profoundly found in NYC.....We lived in NC and it was quite buggy as well as here...

There's plenty to do in Jupiter/PBG, I don't think you'll find yourself isolated in the North County area. PGA Blvd has around 100 restaurants alone, a very nice mall, and there are plenty of parks and outdoor activities. Compared to Southern PBC I think it has a newer/nicer feel to it as well.

It is defintily not as busy as Boca, but a lot of people end up enjoying that.

It's a minor positive, but the turnpike and 95 are very close here so it's easy to shoot away for a weekend to Miami, FTL, or Orlando.
