My husband and I are relocating to Boca and are looking for suggestions on communities that are family friendly. We have a 1 year old but want an area with a good school district so we can live there long term.

We are looking for a community with a community pool, but not a country club. We don't golf or play tennis so those don't really matter to us either - mostly a pool and playground area.

We would like to stay in Boca as the commute is ideal for both of us. We are open to either a single family home or townhouse with an upper limit or $400,000.

Any suggestions on neighborhoods to check out?

Thanks

West Boca has some family neighborhoods in your price range but the community you are looking for is Heron Bay in Parkland. Parkland borders Boca to the south only 15 minutes. Heron Bay is a gated community with resort style amenities, 2 clubhouses with pools, tot lot(s), incredible gym, water tot lot, basketball, racquetball, tennis, etc. The schools in Parkland were rated #1 by Forbes magazine so as Boca is still going down in value, Parkland has been going up in value since 2010.

Heron Bay has a whole lotta Chinese dry wall.....be very careful....parkland is 15 minutes from west Boca...not central Boca...at least not in traffic. There are quite a few communities in Boca that are in your range it just depends on east, west, older...ect. I would drive around and get a feel for things if I was you.
