Do you know of any baseball summer camps near Jupiter that accept kids as young as 3? Recommendations for other summer camp programs that accept 3 year olds and 18 month olds would be appreciated too.

3 years old is way too young to be playing in a league or actual games. 3 years old is a great time to start teaching them the basics. get a glove on him and use a very soft ball and play catch. It will get him used to catching the ball and improving his hand eye coordination.

You can also use a soft bat and have him start hitting in a small grassy area. I cant wait to start teaching my son to play baseball, start playing with him now and he will be well prepared for an actual league in a couple years.

Why would it be a joke? My son loves baseball. Last time I checked there were many different kinds of summer camps in the world. I don't expect him to know the rules or play in a league. He's a little kid who likes to hit the ball and catch and throw. I was asking if there was an equivalent of kick around soccer, which kids do at a lot younger age than three. It's fun for them to be around other kids and play.

sofla, summer camps usually refers to a place where you let your child stay for a number of days overnight.

Your best bet for what you are looking for is to associate with other parents and try to organize a play group for baseball. There likely wont be any official leagues or camps for 3 year old baseball.

Specialized sports camps are not developmentally appropriate for toddlers regardless of the sport.

That is all I am looking for. A few hours a day. Or less. I did not mean sleep-away camp for my 3 year old. Several of the daycares in the area call their summer programs "summer camp" because they are on a school year schedule.
