There's Lake Okeechobee with some fishing boat rentals and air boat rides. Is there a good place to fish from the shore or docks? Anything else to do?

Im thinking about moving to Okeechobee, I ws wanting to know if there are full time jobs there, that pay resonable, or do you have to drive far to get a good paying job? I'm single and wanting to start over. I also would like to know if the rent there is reasonable as well as in a good neighborhood, it does not have to be top of the line, just safe. What do the prices range for a 1 or 2 bedroom house, not really wanting to live in an apartment. Thank You Julie (Indiana)
