So I was set on Abacoa in the Jupiter area but prices have really increased and inventory has contracted - so now I am looking into Palm City. Schools seem similar - unfortunately my daughter will not be 5yr until Oct so she is in for ANOTHER year of preschool - after a very good year in preschool in CT which has her writing her name, all her letters and sounds, counting and basic addition - I fear that she will be bored so looking for an outstanding preschool with low teacher to student ratio. I think Jupiter Academy is ok - any recommendations - what about Palm City?

Our children go to High Hopes Preschool in Palm City and we have had a great experience there with our 4 yr old twins. Our son is 7 and went there as well and was well prepared for Kindergarten. I believe the max class size allowed for the VPK year at any school is 18. HH has a teacher and an assistant in every class. Our kids class this year is 11 (year before VPK). From experience, at HH, your daughter will still be ahead of most of the students. Her skills are being taught at the VPK level in most preschools around here.

In addition to HH, Immanuel Luththern, The Learning Cove, and Alphabet Farms are all in Palm City. Cirtrus Grove Elementary in PC also offers the VPK program. If you are looking to live in Palm City, Grace Place in Stuart is not far and has a good rep for preschool. Also in Stuart there is Redeemer Lutheran, St. Joe's Catholic school, and Bridges Montessori ($$$) with good reps. There are probably more in Stuart, but those are the one's with which I am familiar.

I recommend calling the schools soon. Registration starts in February and the good ones usually end up with waiting lists.

You could also try to get her into Kindergarten if you feel she is ready. I dont know the process for this, but you could check it out with the Martin County Schools.

Let me know if you have any questions about Palm City, we love living here.
