We also have two dogs...a 50lb mutt and a 100lb lab...when looking in Florida that was our 1st question...Pet Restrictions...most apartment style housing would not allow a pet over 50lbs...some had breed restrictions...most townhomes allow 2 pets...

Unfortunately, most condo HOA's in South FL are nazi's when it comes to pets larger than 30lbs. Ask for an exemption. It's a very pet friendly community down here, but all the old fogeys who sit on the HOA boards limit pet size because they feel large dogs create large poop and they know a lot of pet owners don't clean up after their pets. With that said, you could probably get away with having a large dog there and one one would say anything to you about it. Just hope your neighbor doesn't sit on the board.

The Raquet Club in Deer Creek doesn't allow large dogs, yet many of my neighbors had them.
It just depends on the HOA board.

One of my coworkers is the head of an HOA at a condo development in Jupiter where he owns a condo. I know for a fact they don't have pet restrictions where he lives. Ironically enough, he was telling me a story not more than 3 days ago about how a new member of the board came to him at the last meeting and demanded the HOA limit the size of pets. He shrugged her off and said he wasn't changing the rules. I'll find out what development he lives in and post it here in the next few days.

Thanks Galan. My husband & I are coming to visit soon for a month. Do you know of any monthly stays that would allow the dogs, that is a decent price?
Thanks
