Any recommendations of safe family towns that are reasonably commutable to West Palm Beach?

1) Price range?

2) Desired distance from beach?

3) What constitutes "reasonably commutable" to you?

IMO Jupiter, Stuart, Palm City, all north of WPB with Palm City (exit 102 off 95) being the longest commute, about 35 minutes to the airport for reference. There are probably points south that are nice as well. I am just not familiar with those areas.

Wellington is the best bet, Jupiter and parts of Palm Beach Gardens are good too.

Stuart, Palm City and etc are peaceful nice areas, but almost too peaceful, that is there isn't much amenities and things to do there. Also not a lot of jobs and not near a major airport, it's a 40 mile drive one way from Palm City to PBIA.

Guess it depends on how much action you need. We live in Palm City have 3 kids under 7 and are always on the go with sports activities, golfing, going to parks, the beach, Sailfish Splash Waterpark, the library etc. My husband works in Palm Beach Gardens on PGA, takes him 25 minutes......

We also have lower taxes, insurance, home prices and crime than Palm Beach County. Nice, safe, family town......

That's the problem, there isn't "much action" in Palm City. I work in Palm Beach Gardens, off of PGA and one of my co-workers lives in Palm City, moved there for the reasons you stated but said it was a mistake after the fact since she comes down to PB County almost every weekend for the amenities, mainly dining. I said to her, what's wrong with what Stuart has to offer, not the chain places, but the mom and pop place in downtown Stuart. She say's, well it doesn't take long to run out of options up there. I said to her, nothing beat's Luna's Garlic Knots.
