Hi all,
My husband and I have determined we will be moving to west palm beach because he will be starting a job in Stuart. We have to find a place that will be kind of in the middle from both of our jobs. I work in Delray and he will be working in Stuart. I am not familiar with West Palm Beach that much. But from the little bit of research, the crimes is pretty high. I need to find something that is family oriented and lower crime and we have a 4 year old and one on the way. The schools need to be good as well. Please help as we have to move by June 30th. Thank you

Do you need to be IN the actual city of West Palm Beach?

If so, your best bet would be the ones zoned for South Olive Elementary School ("Southend" area of WPB), or the historic neighborhoods zoned for Palm Beach Public.

This will get you through at least the elementary years!

Otherwise, you can look into Palm Beach Gardens or Jupiter.

I really like jupiter however, it will be a horrible commute to delray. I am really just looking for a place where the commute can be somewhat even since I will be in Delray and my husband in Stuart.

Depending on your price range Palm Beach Gardens, would be a good in between as mentioned. Jupiter is very nice as well, but is getting further from Delray. It has easy TP and 95 access.

I looked it up and it looks like Jupiter can turn into a 40 min drive. I found some affordable homes in Palm Beach Gardes as well. But as of right now, its either one of those two cities as west palm beach is crime filled.

Um... aren't you from Fort Lauderdale?

West Palm Beach is no different than where you are from. There are good areas, there are bad areas. Million dollar home neighborhoods, and 50,000$ home neighborhoods.

Since you are familiar with South Florida you should know how that works.
