Hi,
so I am currently a sophomore civil engineering student at UF, however, I am mostly unhappy, and I am considering transferring closer to home to FAU. I know UF is considered a lot better of a school, especially in regards to engineering, however, what would I really be sacrificing if I instead got my degree at FAU? One thing to consider is that I am assuming I would have a lot better gpa and be towards the top of my class at FAU.

If I had to choose...I would just stay with UF or if you want a better education than either, transfer to a school in the Northeast or elsewhere.

I think if you want go home then do it because once you get in the real world no one is going to care what school you went to. Doesn't matter if your an ivy league grad or whatever as long as you can do the job and your a well rounded person. You could a get a degree from Timbucktu an no one would care. UF is the top school in the state so if your worried about not getting as good quality of education maybe you should stay.
