Botanica is a great alternative to Abacoa which has a lot of different subdivisions, Mallory Creek and Windsor Park being the latest to be built. Others include Valencia, Cambridge, NewHaven and Martinique and about 12 more.

There are also some great older communities around the Loxahatchee River that are quite bucolic.

Default Hi Floridamom and everyone

I am a NJ mom, but originally from FLA. I am ready to move 15 years ago! My hubby is in the casino's and really is just now coming around to the idea of leaving. So...I have been checking out areas near the casino's like Tampa and Coconut Creek. Really have not looked into what would be close to Jupiter, and prob would only have cruise line type ones?
After many hours looking around on many sites Jupiter has the least amount of negative feedback from what I have read. If and when we decide where to move to it will take us awhile to scale down our "stuff' and sell our property. If you have time any updates or info would be greatly appreciated!
No place is perfect and just hoping that me you and everyone finds what we are looking for

We have decided to move. Already toured preschools and are currently looking for a house. So far, we have only come across very positive feedback and nice people. So we will see:-)

Default Thanks Floridamom!

I am so excited for you I think I have it narrowed down to Jupiter, Wellington...or Boca...at least cyber wise that is. There are so many communities to choose from. I do not have a gigantic budget so I need to try not to go over my head. Still torn between all kinds of whats better for us, but I think that will eventually fall in to place. Thanks again for the reply. You cannot imagine how much I appreciate your reaching out to me.

Some people don't like that the homes are pretty close together, but it's designed to create common areas for people to congregate. I believe there are 13 or 14 different neighborhoods in Abacoa and they all kind of blend into each other.
There's a small town center with restaurants and a few shops as well.
I agree, Abacoa is very nice with lots and lots of young families. I know many people who live there and they love it.
The homes are much closer together giving it a more urban feel, but it's safe, clean and is in a good school district. Personally, I prefer Abacoa to Wellington.
