Relocating to South Florida from Illinois! I will be working right outside the airport. I know absolutely nothing about the area. I have 2 kids in elementary. Looking for a good area to live. I keep hearing about Jupiter but what are some other good places to look. I wanted to pay keep my rent as low as possible until I get settled and learn the areas. My hands are now tied until the 19th when I come down to start.

Does anyone personally know what the Chasswood complex is like in Jupiter?

Need recommendations on schools. Heard there are several programs.

Also baseball fans. My little dude plays travel where we are now and want to be close to a decent organization.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

This development seems nice The Preserve at Bay Hill Estates in West Palm Beach, Florida - A GL Homes Community
Palm beach Gardens and Royal Palm beach are areas to look at as well and no I'm not sure about that complex but I think anything in Jupiter is probably nice.

Chasewood is an older inexpensive community in West Jupiter not far from 95. There are four condos per building with a total 256 units. Many are rentals. Condos in Chasewood are 2BR/2BA units of around 1,000 square feet of living space with several different floorplan configurations. Units have screened porches and storage.

How much are you able to spend? Jupiter is on the high-end for rent in the county. However if you are sold on Jupiter, a good low-end option would be Chasewood. I know there was an issue with car thefts, that was a few years ago though Stolen Vehicle Alert | ChasewoodNewsAndViews.com

There are 8 units per building consisting of 2 or 3 bedroom units. You will find a mixed bag since there are many that are original finishes and some that have been updated.

I lived there in the late 80's.

Have you started looking for a rental in Jupiter yet? Perhaps you should check out Abacoa near Roger Dean Stadium, home to the Carinal's spring training. Great walkable neighborhoods and baseball activity that your little one will love. The Tommy Hutton Baseball Academy has a summer camp at Roger Dean Stadium: The leader in youth baseball training!. My son attended it years ago and had a blast.

When we lived in Jupiter, our son played with JTAA (Jupiter-Tequesta Athletic Association) for several years and had a great time.

Sorry everyone didn't know I had any replies. I was pulling my hair out with nothing but dead ends. Yesterday someone I work with suggested a place in WPB. Not crazy about the location but seems OK for now until I figure out where exactly want to be.

Gail thanks for the heads up on the baseball. Do you know anything about the Okahelee probably spelled it wrong anyways baseball program or do you know own of one closer that is any good. I might have to call the one up there. The drive is worth a good experience

Thanks once again

Sorry, no, I do not know anything about the Okeeheelee baseball program. My son has since left his baseball interests behind and has become an academic. On to college soon.

I am sure you will find a lot of programs to choose from in Palm Beach County. Roger Dean Stadium is a great place to watch baseball. So a trip up once in awhile will be worth it. Good luck with your move!
