I currently have 2 job offers, one in Kissimmee and one in Boca Raton. I am seriously struggling with the decision of which area to move to. There are pros and cons to both places. Both are good jobs with lots of opportunities. I do not have school age children, my husband and I are both 38. Right now the budget isn't big for housing and we are looking to rent in decent neighborhoods. I'll be working on Yamato Road in Boca Raton and Cypress Parkway in Kissimmee. We have 2 dogs and really would like to avoid "apartment" living if possible, right now max budget sitting at $2000 for monthly rent. Please provide your input, I would like to hear what anyone has to say. Thank you in advance!!

I do not see what the struggle is in making a decision. Boca hands down, would never live in Kissimmee or anywhere near it for many reasons.

Depends on what you are looking for in terms of QOL & what type of job offers you are getting.

If it were us we would never live in Kissemmee. Would choose Boca like above poster has already said. Kissemmee you will see has a lot of tourists. Brother moved down there to Kissemmee from NY & lived there for years due to job & hated the area so much.

Finally they got transfer to Ft. Lauderdale & were much happier. It's basically individual preference & what type of lifestyle you are looking for. Boca is the better option of the two. Boca is so much nicer. Ask on the Orlando forum..they will probably say the opposite...because they live there.

Boca boca boca! I used to live in Orlando (near Kissimmee) and have a vacation home in West Palm beach (near Boca) and hands down the SoFL area beats central Florida.
For one, we have the coastline and beautiful beaches. I find it breezier near the coast versus the oppressive heat in central Fl. Not to mention, Kissimmee is a Mecca for tourists who drive like maniacs and some have no manners (cutting in line, loud, personal space issues).
We have that in SoFL of course but not to the extent of Kissimmee which has Disney world, universal, wet and wild etc etc.
