My family and I want to buy a home in Wellington and are considering the following communities:
Black Diamond
Stone Haven
Olympia
and Versailles

Any information on these communities would be much appreciated.

All four were hit hard by the market crash but most have rebounded nicely.
Starting to see a decent amount of inventory in these communities because a lot of people that were upside down are finally able to sell without taking too big of a hit and the people that bought after 2009 have made a decent return. There are a lot of people flipping again...
Olympia is a huge community and is broke into multiple smaller communities with some being nicer than others. There are homes that are practically brand new in here as well.
Versailles is probably the most luxurious of these four with some homes valued well over a million. Dues are higher as well.
Not to say it's not a good neighborhood but half of the homes that are on the market right now in Black Diamond are distressed sales.

The Isles is another good community to consider depending on what price range you are looking in.

Black Diamond
Stone Haven
Olympia

none of the above are considered anything but average at best. Why would you choose these? Locations of all are not very good, especially black diamond. These communities prices are below average for wellington homes because are considerable average communities or not highly desirable. As mentioned all were affected greatly during housing crash and lots of distressed sales

guess you thought wrong, Olympia does have some section 8 and it is not a well thought of or desirable community compared to many others in wellington. A step above black diamond, but many steps behind others

I grew up in Wellington

Black Diamond off of 441, near many major plazas, has a few distress properties

Olympia is HUGE, houses range from both end of the spectrum. Older to new constructions

Versaille, mediterranean style neighborhood. Beautiful pool and impressive entrance

Look into Castellina!
