Hello, planning a trip to town in a few days. Already have some other ideas throughout the day, part of which involve relaxing by the beach for a couple hours in the AM. However, I was wondering about what would be a better place to kill a couple hours in the afternoon. From what I've heard, out of the South Florida art museums, the Norton is the best one, and the one that's collection could most directly rival The Ringling in Sarasota. However, the Flagler name speaks for itself, and I'm sure that the tour of the grounds would be very worthwhile. If we were to only do one, which would you suggest? Thanks very much!

Sorry.. Actually a couple more questions. If I wanted to rent a bike(s) to go along the lake trail on the Palm Beach side, is there a convenient place to do so?

Peanut Island/The Kennedy Compound: Worth seeing/is there a lot there? I saw there's a boat ride headed over there from Riviera, but wasn't sure whether that was also worth doing.

A little late for the OP, but I would pick the Flagler. Nothing at all against the Norton, but I think that the Flagler museum is more interesting, simply because it combines art and architecture and history all into one, with a beautiful setting to boot.
