Hi there! We are a young family of 4 with a 3 year old and 6 month old girl. We currently live in a suburb outside Orlando that is very family friendly and really love the area here. My husband will be relocating for a job in pbg. We are completely unfamiliar with the area so I'm wondering where the best family friendly areas are? We currently have a great network of friends with young kids here and after the move will not know anyone so an area with other young kids and families would be great. Also, great schools are also a top consideration! Also, we currently have a house with a screened in pool and hot tub and from what I can tell that doesn't look very common there or am I just looking in the wrong area?

That's so much for your thoughts!!
Amber

Thank you! Are there lots of family friendly activities? Easy to meet people? Those are my concerns. :-)

There's lots of nice areas that could work. Do you have a price range you are looking to stay in, or a certain size home you are looking for?

We are looking to rent the first year. Need at least a 3 bedroom and a garage. Would like to keep it 2k and under. Also, looking for a neighborhood that has a sense of community and great/affordable daycare options. Thanks for your help!

You will also want to take a look at Royal Palm Beach. Like Palm Beach Gardens, it is very family oriented. There are several small and large parks in almost every couple of square miles. I have lived in RPB a little over 2 years and I absolutely love it. There are usually nice houses for rent both in and outside of HOAs. Plus there are tons of daycares. There is even a single street that has a run of about 3-4 daycares on it alone. The big park in the area, the Commons Park, is always full of activities for families (movie night, food truck invasion, holiday events). I cant stress enough how much I love it here. If you are trying to stay close to the beach, Palm Beach Gardens and Jupiter is your best bet. If you want a more encompassing family feel, Royal Palm Beach is great. Wellington is also another great option. Just stay away from the 12th Fairway and you should be fine. But don't just take my word for it:

Are there any specific neighborhoods you would recommend? Looks like our move date will be mid September.

Aspence- did you guys decide on a neighborhood? We have a similar situation but moving closer towards the end of the year. Have been looking at Jupiter, Wellington, Royal Palm Beach.. we have lived in Boynton Beach and Pembroke Pines pre-kids. We live outside of Tampa now (about 45 minutes west of Orlando) and are leaving a fantastic family friendly neighborhood, so wanting to replicate that as well. Just interested to see what you guys have found. Thanks!
