After my last negative experience with the MIA Miami Airport I want to try the FLL (Fort Lauderdale) or West Palm Beach Airports. How are they? Are they congested and rude like Miami? How are the lines at check in and security?

As one who travels almost every week , I can tell you that travel out of Ft.Lauderdale International Airport is a piece of cake compared to Miami ... staff at the airport is nicer , the terminals are less congested , lines are shorter , the airport is easier to get in and out of , security is more efficient every one speaks English including the Hispanic employees !!

I have only flown out of WPB twice , both times in the winter months and found some of the old white and wealthy snow birds to be rude and pushy , but is a small modern clean airport .... anyhow hands down Ft.Lauderdale is the best of the three !!

Fort Lauderdale is the best of the three. Access is easy from I-95 or SR 84. The terminals make sense. Avoid Miami International whenever you can. Not that many flights stop at West palm Beach in comparison. Honestly if you arrive at Miami International it is not as bad as departing from there. The sad thing is that I remember MIA as a kid and it was much better. Then again, I don't remember all those security checks!

I fly weekly also and have used every airport in this state. WPB actually isn't all that bad...sort of comfy as airports go, could be a bit more organized though. FLL is definitely the best out of the 3. Easy access, easy out, easy everything. MIA and MCO are the worst!

oh yea MLB is honestly the easiest airport to handle in FL. ...only 4 flights (delta)

I like WPB. One of the prettiest terminal around. Have to use park and ride though.

West Palm Beach is the least congested, much smaller and much more manageable than Ft. Lauderdale or MIA, but it has fewer flights and destination options.

Long term budget parking at Fort Lauderdale is a PAIN, but sometimes the cheaper fares from the larger airport are worth it!

We always try for FLL when we fly. MIA is a pain. We haven't flown out of WPB.

When flying internationally, immigration is much much more organized at FLL.

I fly into both airports, depending on when I can grab a ticket. I really like both of them. The only complaint about WPB is the security lines are sometimes unorganized (long lines, almost missed my flight). I've only seen it this way during Christmas, so perhaps it's not a regular thing.

I have done WPB three times. They are good, not so many pushy people and rude ones. Fort Lauderdale is ok! Attitude vill to me though. But I would rather MUCH rather do WPB. It is easier to me I don't know. But Miami never done. Heard it is horrible though. thats my guess.
