We are thinking of moving to the coast since we have horrible allergies in Orlando. How is the situation with pollen and allergies in Palm Beach county? How close do you have to be to the beach to avoid allergies? How many weeks a year do you have to take allergy medicine there? Is it better than where you lived before? Thanks!

The ocean has its own issues a few times a year........red tide will literally choke you out.

Red tide Florida
One of the most well-known harmful algal blooms (HABs) is the Florida "red tide" caused by Karenia brevis, a type of algae that produces potent neurotoxins. ... The toxins can be suspended in the air near beaches and cause human respiratory illness.

Your allergies probably need to be defined, allergic to what?

If you have allergies, buy locally grown honey. Mix that with lime/lemon juice in hot water and drink a cup full (with a straw) every 3 or 4 hours daily. Your allergies should begin to subside significantly within the day and be eliminated by the next 2.

And watch your diet and sun exposure. You should be consuming organic in-season fruits, vegetables, and meat protein and getting at least 25 minutes of midday sun exposure (without sunscreen) to the chest and back daily. This increases your vitamin, mineral, and nutrient intake so your immune system is strengthened and your body can fight off viruses. Your diet is your medicine.
