Hi, the hedge fund my wife works for is paying us to relocate to the Palm Beach area. We can't afford Palm Beach. So we are looking at North Palm Beach and Juno. What are the pros and cons of each area? Are there neighborhoods to avoid in each? We enjoy dining out and occasional night outs. Being able to walk to everywhere would be a huge plus, although I doubt it's possible in FL. Thanks a lot in advance.

p.s: We don't have kids.

We are going to rent a house or condo for now until we are familiar with the area.

With the exception of Palm Beach island (which nobody middle or working class really moves to) the rest of Palm Beach County is significantly more affordable than anywhere in New York City. You shouldn't have any problem finding a nice apartment in West Palm Beach for a decent price. North Palm Beach county is a great area. Palm Beach Gardens has plenty of beautiful apartments located within walking distance to shopping centers so contrary to what you may think, you can get by with a bike or by walking depending on what complex you live in. And of course gorgeous Juno Beach is nearby but you'll need a car.
