Hi All

I am looking for some guidance. My wife and I are in late 40s and I work remotely. We really liked West Palm Beach - City Place/ Rosemary Square type living. However we are looking for other places along the east coast with similar vibe. In essence we are looking for apartment living in area with restaurants and activities at the foot of the condo tower so to speak. We like music, cafe culture etc. So, not like beach scene of Daytona beach for example.

Rent range is 3k or lower for a 2BR. We traveled over the east coast from around Jupiter area down to Miami. Miami was a bit too hectic. Only place we found so far is the City Place/Rosemary Square and Downtown of West Palm beach but the rentals are a little sparse. We are looking between Jupiter to north and up to Miami in the south or a bit more north of Miami preferably.

Any suggestions for areas/places will be greatly appreciated. We can go and spend a night and see.

Thanks

I'm confused, you liked WPB so just move there? Rentals/real estate are going to be spare anywhere with how the mark is in FL.

There’s not that much else in South Florida. The obvious choice is probably Ft. Lauderdale, but a couple smaller options might be Deerfield Beach or Boca Raton around Mizner Park. Those are probably too small though.

I suggest St. Pete if you’re open to the Tampa Bay Area.

Yes, we do like WPB. We are looking to find something there and most likely and hopefully will find something in time - we are planning for around Jan/Feb next year. So it is high on the list.

I liked the St Pete too. I will try and go to Boca Raton and Deerfield beach this weekend then. We went to Ft Lauderdale but didn't really find a vibe like WPB - may be we missed something obvious. Any neighborhoods like WPB Rosemary square in Ft Lauderdale?

Thanks

Mizner Park in Boca Raton looks pretty similar to WPB's Rosemary Square, that might be your best bet. The only thing is, that's pretty much it for Boca Raton unlike WPB which has quite a bit more to offer.

I retract my suggestion on Deerfield, I think it may just be too small. For Ft. Lauderdale, I mostly just meant the Las Olas area so I don't think you missed anything.

I'll be interested to know where you wind up.

Delray is nice too. Small downtown area but a lot of restaurants and a short walk to the beach.

Downtown Hollywood and the ArtsPark neighborhood might be an option for you.

St. Augustine comes to my mind immediately. BTW, there's a ton of live music in Daytona Beach and plenty of cafes as well.

I'd look into Downtown Delray Beach (very up an coming downtown area in Palm beach County)
It also tends to cater towards the early 30s to 40 year old crowd.

Going further North I'd suggest like Melbourne, Palm bay, or even Sebastian.

St. Pete is a nice option if you decide to go West.

I wouldn't suggest Boca at all (mostly retirement and very expensive)
