OP, I don’t think anyone is being rude. In fact many people are taking the time to write and give their thoughts on what would be most beneficial to you and your family. You have gotten defensive when posters have tried to ascertain information that could help give better advice, such as where your family actually lives. If they are in Florida, can they offer you a place to live? If you have not lived in Florida for a while, be aware that real estate prices and rent have risen dramatically. For $300,000 you will be in the less desirable areas of town, if you can even find something. I speak as someone who has lived in Pennsylvania for the past two years that just purchased a home near Vero Beach. Hershey, PA has outstanding medical facilities in every specialty you can think of. Several family members near Reading travel to Hershey when they need a specialist like a nephrologist or oncologist. House will be much less expensive there, too. As much as you would like to be near your granddaughter, your daughter’s needs must come first. It would be foolish to move to Florida without access to the government programs she needs. As your other post indicates, that is another place you’re looking into. You already have the waivers and housing will be much easier to find. Good luck to you, wherever you land.

My son may be able to help us financially . Without the waiver we are living on social security I think Gov Scott refused Medicaid money he was offered which is what FL agency told me , and that caused a big problem for special needs people I have a severely disabled child , all states should have money for this population we have time and hopefully help from family but taking away a waiver is not good for these children We have 855 billion dollars for one country in Foreign aid though . if you were me you would be very upset about that . Thank you In my opinion City Guy was rude with all the capital letters in his post . I say walk a mile in my shoes......
Ok, Rick Scott hasn't been the governor for over 3 years.......so your info is outdated

You are mixing up the facts to suit your specific situation (hint: foreign aid has nothing to do with special needs children).

You are looking for the state of Florida for assistance yet NOBODY you mention is a Florida Resident!

I'm starting a thread, I WANT CALIFORNIA TO HELP ME BUY A HOUSE IN BEVERLY HILLS! They sell more electric cars in California than anywhere so I should get one of those too so I don't have to walk in anyone's shoes! California is a huge state, they spent 2 billion to prevent wildfires and address the drought so they have more than enough money to help my family get a house in Beverly Hills!

This ^^^ is non sequitur reasoning: a conclusion or statement that does not logically follow from the previous argument or statement.

Sadie is light on budget, wants help from a state she isn't even a resident of and compares what a high tax state does for its residents to what Florida should do..............all non sequitur reasoning.
