I live and work overseas and I have a rental property in Miami. I had hurrican shutters installed on March 12th. The next day, I called my homeowners insurance company, which is based in Palm Beach County, so that they could lower my homeowners insurance rate. The insurance rep. said that they would send someone by the property to check out the property & that he would be calling me back. I never got a call back & he does not pick up the phone anymore, reply to my voice messages, or reply to any of my emails.

I know that there have been shutdowns due to Covid-19, but I find it strange that I never got a call back or reply to my emails, which can be accessed from anywhere. I have also heard that Florida has been reopening.

Is this insurance agent just avoiding me or are things still shut down? What should I do?

Smile Working from home

The guy I use is working from home but anxious to return to the office.

He has 3 children though and that may be part of it.

My agent answers me all the time. I'm a mortgage broker and I'm in contact with insurance agents all the time.

Things are reopening but people are being cautious, staying close to home.

I'm in Palm Beach County, BTW.
