My brother just got offered a job in WPB. HIs salary would be in the low 40's. Is that enough to live on there? How much is rent in the area? Are there surrounding areas that he could live in that are cheaper, nice, and safe? My brother is 25, and still hangs out a lot, but he's responsible, and would want something nice. He has about 600 in expenses besides rent.
What do you guys suggest?

He can find rent in an around downown West Palm.... also, the Villages area is decent.

Rent will be at LEAST $800 though for a decent area.

Where? South Florida?

Ya know, besides rude drivers, I am fortunate enough never to have encountered anyone who has ever been "rude" to my face. The rudest people I've ever dealt with have always been customer service people located who knows where!

But I've always been a bit more amused by rude and odd behavior than anything else. I love people watching around here... ESPECIALLY in season. That special mix of European tourists, Latin Americans, Palm Beach widows and snowbirding tri-staters decked out in hot pink pants and gaudy handbags is....well... home.
