First let me say that I am originally from Long Island, New York. I have been living here in Lake Worth since 1980. It took me a while, but I did finally shake off that attitude of "nothing is as good as the pizza in New York". There's PLENTY of pizza here that's as good and even BETTER. Looking at the original post of this thread really gets my goat. Here's people moving to our area and saying that they've visited here and eaten at our pizza shops and that frozen pizza is better. Gee, thanks for the compliment. We can't wait to have you here.
Lake Worth pizza is better than New York pizza. Says me, someone from New York.

Am I able to edit my post? Don't see how. Anyway, I wanted to correct the post to show that I meant "Lake Worth Pizza" (it's a pizzeria)...and I should also state that there's no offense meant to the member that started this thread - I'm just standing up for the pizza many of love. :-)

I'm still here in NY and we got pizza this week and the first things out of my fiancé's mouth was something about missing pizza when we move. Too funny.

Will there be anyone left in New York that isn't here pretty soon?

Hopefully they will get side tracked in NC

If y'all want pizza like NY stay in NY!

Nothing will pee off a Floridian more, than to say "well back home we", yadda, yadda.

Stay in NY, we don't need any more yankees here.

Default best pizza

Woolbright rd and Millitary trail, by far the best pizza I've ever eaten. Forgot the name of the place but it's in the Publix plaza. There is a line out the door every night, must be a couple hour wait to get in sometimes

Wow, no votes for Augy's in Boca??? I grew up in Boca and this place was a landmark. Italian family owned. I have searched far and wide...lived in Gainesville, Atlanta, and now Orlando and have yet to have any slice of pizza that can top Augy's. I can say that their square pizza is what does it for me, but the round is also good. I recommend any pizza fans to get over there...especially at lunch time for the buffet.

That said, South Florida is one area that you will have no problem finding excellent pizza...there are tons of great pizzerias around. I wish I could say the same for the other areas I have lived in.

You live in West Palm and use the term 'Yankees'? Sorry, but your extension of the east coast isn't the south...
