I am currently hoping to get an inter company transfer from the UK over to the US. If it comes off, I would be working in Boca Raton.

I have 2 children, a girl of 14 and a son of 10. My son has a diagnosis of Apergers and ADHD.

As we would be able to start afresh with his schooling, we are looking at selecting the area we live in around the most appropriate schools for our son. Unfortunately I don’t really know the best place to start looking.

Can anyone help me with either information about how to find details of schools with good special needs provisions in Florida, or if anyone knows of a good school in a location that would be within easy commuting distance of Boca, that would be even better. I believe that he is currently in the equivalent to 4th Grade

Thanks for any help you can offer.
Linda

I am new to the area, and don't know much (sorry!) but I do know there is a charter school in Lantana called Palm Beach School for Autism. I am not sure how great it is, but I think it would be worth checking out. (I am a teacher for students with autism).
