Are there any safe/clean/secure/friendly/pleasant places to live in Palm Beach Gardens? We are looking to rent a 2 bedroom / 2 bathroom apartment or condo for around 1000/mo. or higher once I start making some money. I have to relocate for a job. Thanks!

Try Gables Montecito. My daughter lives there and loves it. It is gated at night with a guard.

I wouldn't suggest Gables Montecito, a friend of mine rented there and it was a living hell for noise. FAU students partied beneath here all hours of the night on weeknights to boot. Cars with fart pipes doing burnouts and doors slamming.

I even heard the apartments at Mirasol are just as bad.

I would look at Garden Lakes near PGA and Military, there is some real nice Divosta built 2/2 townhomes in there for around that price or a tad more, you'll probably need 3 months rent in advance but they are nice and it's HOA controlled with restrictions. You'll need to look at realtor.com or palmbeachpost.com real estate section to find rentals there.

There are rentals at Legacy Place and several near Downtown and The Gardens Mall. There are also rentals along PGA Blvd - west of Military. There are also some units above the businesses on the south side of PGA in this same area. I can't say what rental rates are but the area has always felt safe.

Resurrecting an old thread. I have the exact same requirements as I am relocating to this area with my family.

Any suggestions apart from the ones listed? While looking I found a condo in PGA national, is that a good option?

Thanks!

PGA National has never had a 'real' crime problem. In fact, it's never had a violent crime in it that I know of.

Thanks for your inputs. Is it family-kid friendly, or its more of a retirement community?

That's an excellent question! It is definitely going through a transition. Most houses that sell in there are sold to full time residents. Most of those are young, married and with young children.
It's nice that it's getting to be more full time residents and more young folks because it's really revitalizing the area.
We are on the younger side also.
