Hi, I currently have a 2/2.5 condo in West Boynton but its a little pricey for me right now (about $1200). I am looking to move to Delray/Boca or somewhere around there. Everything my agent is coming back to me with is a multi-level apartment style place which I do not want because everytime I look up one of these places I see a million complaints relating to break-ins, car theft, parking issues, etc. Can anyone recoomend any developments that I should be looking into? Maybe there are apartment style places that don't have these issues that I do not know about? The rent would have to be under 1100 otherwise it makes no sense to move. I am 40 years old if that helps. Thanks in advance. Being in a nice, safe area is essential.

Hi. When I was looking in Boca and looked a little in Delray but I was unsure of the area most 2 bedrooms are more then 1200 a month. I would say average is like 1400-1500 for a 2/2. You may be able to find a deal through a private renter but with that you will most likely have to put first, last, security. I would look on realtor.com or craigslist.

Id be careful on Craigslist....people are renting their homes with no way of knowing truely what their financial situation is....if u can check them out and make sure they are paying their mortgage etc then you should be fine...alot of real estate scams on Craigslist....

good luck...

Hi Neil. We currently own a 2/2 condo on the border of Deerfield and Boca. It's a LOVELY, VERY SAFE neighborhood. Our neighbors are the nicest people ever. We live on the bottom floor, corner unit. Our upstairs neighbor is a single 60 something snowbird who comes down for a few months a year. The neighbors next door are snowbirds as well. They're here maybe 2 weeks a year, if that. It is very quiet here. We have lived here for 4 years and have two babies now so we're looking to get a bigger house as we have no room for two girls to grow up in a 2/2 condo. We're thinking of renting our place but are nervous about getting a good rentor. If you're interested, you can come look at the place. We're asking $1100/month.

Smile Camino Real Village

Neil, I own a condo in this development. It was for my mom and dad but the community is gated (manned), very safe - they are privately owned and you need to get condo approval but I'm renting my unit for $1050 per month. It will go up to $1150 in May but that was the deal I made with the tenants.

I can give you the name of a realtor who lives there and may know of rentals.
Mostly 2 and 3 bedrooms.

32 units to a building - 4 floors - many pools in the complex.

All ages. Small pets up to 30 pounds now allowed.
