Young professional looking for rental advice (boca delray area) (Boca Raton: apartments, law school)

I'm a 29 years old male from Boston and have been offered a position at my employer's main office in Boca Raton on Route 1 between Routes 800 and 808. Any suggestions or recommendations on where (and where not) to live would be greatly appreciated.

Preferably I'm looking to be:
close to the beach (none of that lake baloney)
no more than 15 minutes by car to my office (am spoiled and currently have a 7 minute commute walking to work)
close to nightlife (I'm a musician)
away from the 55+ communities
spending $12-1500 a month on rent

During my first trip down to South FLA, downtown Del Ray Beach caught my eye. I found it to have the same vibe as some of the beach towns up here in Massachusetts. Considering my price range and what I'm looking for is that a feasible and fitting location to be leaning towards?

Did you find a nice community? My son is in a similiar situation - where did you end up living? He is a law school graduate - employed - and looking for a rental in a decent young single educated community (new ocean preferably).....Please let me know if you were successful in your search! Thanks!

Del Ray beach is very nice and has many wonderful communities in that price range. You can also try Boca Raton. The Gables is a great apartment group with communities situtated quite centrsl. You can also try the Savannah apartments in Boca Raton. There rates are the cheapest and they are in an very good location.
