Well, my wife and I just got back to Missouri yesterday. I’ll be glad when we do move, that 10 hour drive is a killer, seems like the older we get the longer it takes. We looked for a place around the Mineral Wells area and also Davisville area. Found a nice place in Mineral Wells. Now all I have to do is find a job! Put in apps in DuPont and Coldwater Creek. Plus a few other places.
My daughter was telling me that I would need to take a test. She called it Workkeys test or a TABE test. Does anyone know about these? She wasn’t too sure what was involved in them.
Good thing was that I got to bring back home 10 bags of Mister Bee potatoes chips

To get hired at DuPont you have to take the work keys test. Basically it's just a test to make sure your not a complete dunce. I'm not so sure about getting hired at DuPont right now. They are hiring but you had to take the test first and then apply. They aren't taking more apps right now.

You could put in an app for a "contract" job. It's a good initial step to getting an actual DuPont job.

They were giving the test (they cost around $30) at WVU-P but I'm not sure they are still giving them there. Mr Bee was hiring also.

There's an ABE test, Adult Basic Education, it's been around a while, didn't think they were still using it.

The Wincore window plant on Staunton Ave. was hiring.

Thanks for the info. I know that DuPont is really hard to get on. I sent in a resume to a company called Mustang Survival in Elizabeth. My nephew works at Public Debt, but that requires a civil servant test I think.
