I'm glad to see that she isn't going to try and run for both offices. Pick one. Win or lose.

Manchin taking Byrds spot? Wonder if he will be voting for Obama's platform? Something tells me No. If he votes no for Obamanomics, go Joe.

The Governor just wasted millions of taxpayer dollars to make sure he could keep the Governors Office just in case he would lose a November Senate election. He could have appointed himself instead of Goodwin and saved everyone the trouble.

Knowing how politics operate in the state, one wonders what is in it for Goodwin for keeping Manchin's seat warm? Is he being promised support to be Governor?

Comments in the Charleston papers suggest that Manchin and Capito have an agreement. They don't run against each other. This could be setting the state for Capito to run for Governor in 2012.
